At Marshalls we believe that women deserve access to the good stuff in life, whatever that means to them. But for so many reasons women say the things they want feel just out of reach. According to Marshalls research, when it comes to working toward their goals, of the women surveyed, 34% of say they don’t even know where to begin. 32% do not feel like they have access to resources they need to live their ideal life. And 1 in 2 women do not have a mentor in their life. That's why we're creating programs to help provide women with the tools, resources, and communities they need to feel financial empowerment, make meaningful connections, embrace their self-worth, and show up with confidence.
Marshalls is creating programs to help provide women with the tools, resources, and communities they need to achieve financial empowerment, make meaningful connections, embrace their self-worth, and show up with confidence.
At Marshalls, we believe that accessing the good stuff in life is a team effort. That’s why we are working hard to provide access to our network of partners to help women unlock their ideal lives, whatever that means to them. We are collaborating with a range of experts, community-leaders, cultural influencers, and nonprofit partners that provide meaningful tools, resources, and communities to help women access the good stuff in life today and in the future.
This year, Marshalls donated a total of $400,000 to our nonprofit partners through the TJX Foundation. Through these partnerships, we help enable programming that meaningfully supports women and girls by providing the tools, resources, and community they need to get the good stuff in life.

This virtual year-long experience is designed to help women unlock the good stuff in life, whatever that means to them. In partnership with Luminary, this new initiative will offer a similar inclusive environment as our Marshalls Good Stuff Social Clubs but aims to create a deeper impact on a dedicated group of 40 women of all backgrounds and ambitions.
The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program will provide its inaugural class with one year of programming that includes:
NO PURCH NEC. Open to 50 US/DC/PR, 18+. Must identify as a woman. Ends 10/31. Rules: MarshallsGoodStuffAcceleratorProgram.com.
Marshalls chose to provide a $5,000 grant for each of the 40 participants in The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program based on our research that included a detailed analysis of the costs associated with the tools, resources, and community support needed for women to live their ideal lives. According to that research, this average annual expense is approximately $4,362. We decided to round this amount up to $5,000 to ensure that participants have additional flexibility and resources to fully support their development.
The one-time grant is intended to kickstart your journey and should be used to invest in yourself and support the specific personal or professional goals you’re focusing on during the program. This may include (but is not limited to) things like equipment to pursue a new hobby, tickets to a conference or summit, funds to start a new community group, fees to join a professional networking group, a wardrobe refresh for a new role, and/or a career coach. The funding will be disbursed via check to participants approximately halfway through the year-long program to support their ongoing efforts.
People who identify as women from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico are encouraged to apply. This program welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, looking to tackle personal or professional ambitions through The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program. See official rules here
All programming will be conducted virtually via Luminary’s Zoom, ensuring that every participant can have a meaningful and engaging experience, no matter where they are located. However, in addition to the core Accelerator Program workshops, all recipients receive a Luminary membership which provides access to the Luminary headquarters in New York City as well as 30+ partner co-working and social spaces across the country. Participants will have the ability to register for any and all events through their online access.
Our partners at Luminary will select 40 participants. Applications are open from 9/24- 10/31. All applicants will be contacted regarding their application status via the email address you provided on your application by the first week of December. Final acceptance into the program will be contingent on the applicant completing all requested paperwork.
Marshalls’ programming tackles the following 4 key action areas:

We understand that life can be busy, and we’ve designed this program with flexibility in mind. However, to gain the full benefit from your experience, we encourage you to attend all sessions list below:
Key Virtual Sessions:
While attendance is important for your progress and eligibility for the mid-program grant distribution, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Luminary will monitor attendance and, if needed, can provide you with content from any missed sessions to keep you on track.
To ensure fairness and to maintain the program’s integrity, Luminary reserves the right to withhold the one-time grant payment from any participant who has not attended 66% of the sessions that take place by June. Again, Luminary is committed to working with you to navigate any challenges and ensure you get the most out of this experience.
A Luminary Cru is a small accountability cohort who meet and peer coach each other monthly through guided Gatherings (60 minutes) by an expert Luminary Cru Guide (an executive coach). Your cohort will consist of up to five (5) other Program participants (6 members, total), meeting monthly for six months during the Accelerator Program. Your Luminary Cru is dedicated to helping you accelerate the achievement of your personal and/or professional goals. It will be created based on your availability, demographics, needs and values that we collect through a questionnaire.
As everyone's goal and journey is different, there is no grading process for the Accelerator Program. We strongly believe in the importance of defining your own success, which also means being in the driver’s seat for your participation. Luminary will provide suggested events, specific communications, ongoing support, and other pieces to help bolster your participation and engagement, but ultimately you are in control of your goal(s) and thus, your participation. We are here to help though, so please reach out to your Cru leader if you feel overwhelmed, need guidance, or just want to chat.
Luminary is happy to accommodate any needs we can. Please connect to MGSAP@weareluminary.com, your dedicated Luminary support team, if you are looking for certain format or accommodation.
