Marshalls Purpose
- Why is Marshalls committed to helping women unlock access to the good stuff in life?
At Marshalls we believe that women deserve access to the good stuff in life, whatever that means to them. But for so many reasons, women say the things they want feel just out of reach. According to Marshalls research, when it comes to working toward their goals, 34% of the women surveyed say they don’t even know where to begin. 32% do not feel like they have access to resources they need to live their ideal life. And 1 in 2 women do not have a mentor in their life. That's why we're creating programs to help provide women with the tools, resources, and communities they need to feel financially empowered, make meaningful connections, embrace their self-worth, and show up with confidence.
- What are you doing to address this problem?
Marshalls is creating programs to help provide women with the tools, resources, and communities they need to achieve financial empowerment, make meaningful connections, embrace their self-worth, and show up with confidence.

At Marshalls, we believe that accessing the good stuff in life is a team effort. That’s why we are working hard to provide access to our network of partners to help women unlock their ideal lives, whatever that means to them. We are collaborating with a range of experts, community-leaders, cultural influencers, and nonprofit partners that provide meaningful tools, resources, and communities to help women access the good stuff in life today and in the future.
- How are you supporting the charitable partners listed on your website?
This year, Marshalls donated a total of $400,000 to our nonprofit partners through the TJX Foundation. Through these partnerships, we help enable programming that meaningfully supports women and girls by providing the tools, resources, and community they need to get the good stuff in life.
- We partner with Girls Inc.'s Project Accelerate to build leadership pathways and equip young women and girls with the skills they need for college and career success.

The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program
- What is The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program?
Back for its second year, The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program — developed in partnership with Luminary — is a virtual, year-long experience designed to support 40 women as they make meaningful progress toward one personal or professional goal.
Whether you’re a college student, stay-at-home mom, business owner, navigating your career, in a life transition, or just looking for a new opportunity – you belong here!
In partnership with Luminary, The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program provides a cohort of 40 women with one year of programming that includes:
- Live virtual sessions with Marshalls experts and role models such as Vivian Tu and Keltie Knight (group mentorship format)
- Six peer coaching sessions (via Luminary Cru groups) offering shared accountability and support
- A one-time $5,000 grant designed to help participants invest in the specific goal they’re working toward
- Full access to Luminary Collective PLUS: a membership that includes 25+ monthly virtual events, tools, networking, and coworking spaces nationwide
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program is sponsored by TJX Companies, Inc. Open to legal residents of the 50 US, DC & PR, 18 & older, who identify as women. Begins 10:00 a.m. ET on 9/3/25 and ends 11:59 p.m. ET on 10/14/25. See Official Rules for prize descriptions, how to enter, and complete details.
- Why did Marshalls choose $5,000 as the funding amount and what are participants permitted to use the funding for?
Marshalls chose to provide a $5,000 grant for each of the 40 participants in The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program based on our research that included a detailed analysis of the costs associated with the tools, resources, and community support needed for women to live their ideal lives. According to that research, this average annual expense is approximately $4,362. We decided to round this amount up to $5,000 to ensure that participants have additional flexibility and resources to fully support their development.
The one-time grant is intended to kickstart each participant’s journey and should be used to invest in themselves and support the specific personal or professional goals they're focusing on during the program. This may include (but is not limited to) things like equipment to pursue a new hobby, tickets to a conference or summit, funds to start a new community group, fees to join a professional networking group, a wardrobe refresh for a new role, and/or a career coach. The funding will be disbursed via check to participants approximately halfway through the year-long program to support their ongoing efforts.
- Who is eligible for The Marshalls Good Stuff Accelerator Program?
2026 Program Eligibility: People who identify as women from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico were invited to apply, with all programming held virtually over the course of 2026. We encourage women of all backgrounds with both personal and professional ambitions to apply.
- Will there be in-person programming? How will virtual programming work?
All programming will be conducted virtually via Luminary’s Zoom, ensuring that every participant can have a meaningful and engaging experience, no matter where they are located. However, in addition to the core Accelerator Program workshops, all recipients receive a Luminary membership which provides access to the Luminary headquarters in New York City as well as 30+ partner co-working and social spaces across the country. While attendance is important for your progress and eligibility for the mid-program grant distribution, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Luminary will monitor attendance and, if needed, can provide you with content from any missed sessions to keep you on track.
To ensure fairness and uphold the integrity of the program, Luminary reserves the right to withhold the one-time grant payment from any participant who does not meet minimum attendance requirements by June, prior to grant distribution.
Participants are expected to attend:
- At least 60% of the MGSAP Sessions taking place by June — this includes the Kick-Off (x1), the Cru Inception Gathering (x1), and the Marshalls’ expert-led sessions (x3) - meaning you are expected to attend a minimum of 3 out of the 5 MGSAP sessions prior to grant distribution.
- At least 50% of the monthly Cru meetings taking place by June – there will be 2 Cru meetings by June – meaning you are expected to attend a minimum of 1 out of the 2 sessions prior to grant distribution.
That said, Luminary and Marshalls are committed to working with you to navigate any challenges that may come up and to help ensure you get the most out of this experience.
- What is a Cru are how are Cru groups matched?
A Luminary Cru is a small accountability circle of members (4-5) and a trained Cru Guide (Luminary staff member) who meet and peer coach each other in monthly 60-minute Gatherings to help them accelerate achievement of their personal and professional goals facilitated by an expert guide.
All MGSAP participants will be matched with fellow participants based on demographics, values, goals, and availability—while also ensuring each group brings together diverse perspectives and individuals at different stages of their lives. You’ll have access to a digital platform to track your intentions and progress. This isn’t just another networking group—it’s a journey alongside like-minded individuals who will challenge you, cheer you on, and celebrate with you every step of the way.
Many participants from our first year’s cohort described their Cru as the highlight of their Accelerator experience, forming life-long connections. Cru Meetings are a core part of your MGSAP journey, and we ask that you make every effort to attend. Given the personal nature of the conversations in these meetings, they will not be recorded.
- How will my progress be monitored throughout the program? Is there a grading process?
As everyone's goal and journey is different, there is no grading process for the Accelerator Program. We strongly believe in the importance of defining your own success, which also means being in the driver’s seat for your participation. Luminary will provide suggested events, specific communications, ongoing support, and other pieces to help bolster your participation and engagement, but ultimately you are in control of your goal(s) and thus, your participation. We are here to help though, so please reach out to your Cru leader if you feel overwhelmed, need guidance, or just want to chat.
- Does this program accommodate different learning styles, needs, and ambitions?
